Yeti Doc Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

Yeti Doc is designed to help individuals, businesses, organisations, and government agencies prepare, send, sign, and manage documents securely.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") explains how the Yeti Doc platform may and may not be used.

This Policy forms part of the Yeti Doc Terms & Conditions. By using Yeti Doc, you agree to comply with this Policy.

Our goal is simple: provide a secure, reliable, and trusted platform for everyone.

2. Responsible Use

You agree to use Yeti Doc responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws.

You are responsible for:

  • Your account.
  • Your documents.
  • Your recipients.
  • Your employees and team members (where applicable).
  • Your saved templates.
  • Your saved contacts.
  • Your Contact Groups.
  • Your AI-generated content (where applicable).

You remain responsible for all activity performed through your account unless the activity results directly from unauthorised access caused by Yeti Doc's negligence.

3. Permitted Uses

Yeti Doc may be used for lawful purposes, including:

  • Employment agreements.
  • Business contracts.
  • Client agreements.
  • Quotes and proposals.
  • Invoices and approvals.
  • NDIS documentation.
  • Human resources forms.
  • Rental agreements (where permitted by law).
  • Medical consent forms (where legally appropriate).
  • Internal company documents.
  • Government forms (where electronic signatures are accepted).
  • Educational forms.
  • Personal agreements.
  • Volunteer documentation.
  • Charity documentation.

4. Prohibited Activities

You must not use Yeti Doc to:

  • Commit fraud.
  • Mislead another person.
  • Forge signatures.

  • Attempt to manipulate audit trails.
  • Interfere with another user's account.

  • Distribute malware, ransomware, viruses, spyware, or other harmful software.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to Yeti Doc systems.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the Yeti Doc platform except where permitted by law.
  • Use automated systems to overload, scrape, or interfere with the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Use Yeti Doc in a way that could damage our reputation or the experience of other users.

5. Illegal or High-Risk Content

You must not knowingly use Yeti Doc to create, send, store, or distribute documents relating to:

  • Identity theft.
  • Financial scams.
  • Phishing.
  • Money laundering.
  • Terrorism or terrorist financing.
  • Child exploitation or abuse.
  • Human trafficking.
  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances where prohibited by law.
  • Counterfeit goods.
  • Forged government documents.
  • Tax fraud.
  • Bribery or corruption.
  • Any other unlawful activity.

Where we reasonably suspect unlawful activity, we may suspend access and cooperate with law enforcement where required by law.

6. Intellectual Property

You must respect the intellectual property rights of others.

Do not upload, share, or distribute material that infringes:

  • Copyright.
  • Trade marks.
  • Patents.
  • Trade secrets.
  • Confidential information.
  • Privacy rights.
  • Publicity rights.

If you receive a document that you believe infringes your rights, please notify Yeti Doc promptly.

7. Recipient Privacy

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to collect, store, and use recipient information.

Before adding someone to:

  • Saved Contacts
  • Contact Groups
  • Team lists
  • Distribution lists

you should ensure your use of their personal information complies with applicable privacy laws.

Yeti Doc does not verify recipient information or consent provided by users.

8. AI Features

If Yeti Doc provides AI-powered features, you agree that:

  • AI-generated content should always be reviewed before use.
  • AI may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate content.
  • You remain solely responsible for documents created or modified using AI.
  • AI should not be relied upon as legal, financial, tax, medical, or professional advice.

9. Document Sharing

When sharing documents through Yeti Doc, you must:

  • Verify recipient details before sending.
  • Ensure recipients are authorised to receive the document.
  • Avoid sharing confidential information with unintended recipients.
  • Review documents before requesting signatures.

Yeti Doc is not responsible for documents sent to the wrong recipient due to incorrect information supplied by the sender.

10. Security Responsibilities

To help protect your account, you should:

  • Use a strong, unique password.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication when available.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential.
  • Log out of shared devices.
  • Keep your software and web browser up to date.
  • Notify Yeti Doc immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Protecting your account is a shared responsibility.

11. Fair Use

Yeti Doc is designed to provide reliable access for all users.

You must not:

  • Attempt to overload the platform.
  • Generate excessive automated traffic.
  • Perform denial-of-service attacks.
  • Abuse storage resources.
  • Use Yeti Doc primarily as a file storage service unrelated to document signing.
  • Circumvent system limits or technical safeguards.

We may introduce fair usage limits to maintain platform performance for all users.

12. Monitoring and Enforcement

To protect users and maintain the integrity of the platform, Yeti Doc may monitor the operation of the Service, including technical logs, security events, and system performance.

We do not routinely read the contents of your documents. Access to document content may occur only where reasonably necessary, such as:

  • Investigating a reported issue with your request.
  • Responding to a security incident.
  • Complying with a legal obligation.
  • Preventing fraud or unlawful activity.
  • Protecting the safety and integrity of the Service.

Where appropriate, access is limited to authorised personnel and governed by strict internal controls.

If you become aware of suspected misuse of Yeti Doc, please contact us as soon as possible.
