Electronic signatures in Australia: what makes one hold up

Australian law does not require ink. The Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth), together with the state and territory Acts, recognises an electronic signature where the signer can be identified, the signer consented to signing electronically, and the method is as reliable as appropriate for the purpose of the document.
